Government College of Technology , SITE Karachi , (Formerly known as Karachi Polytechnic Institute), is a pioneer Govt. Technical Institute in Pakistan Celebrating its Golden Jubilee in 2004.

It was established in 1954 under the assistance of Ford Foundation & Colombo Plan. It is famous globally. Recently it has been equipped with all modern equipment and

machines to meet the technological challenges of twenty first century.

The College has it's own identity which distinguishes it among all the Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology in Pakistan . The College is affiliated with NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi .

The College offers Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) and B.Tech ( Pass & Hons. ) Programs.

The Diploma of Associate Engineer Program is affiliated with Sindh Board of Technical Education, Karachi and B.Tech (Pass & Hons.) Program is affiliated with NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi .

College offers DAE Program in 14 Technologies and B.Tech (Pass & Hons) Program in 3 Technologies.
